General purpose structural epoxy system R300 / H336

Each kilo includes 0.71 kg resin + 0.29 kg hardener

R300/H336 is a general purpose structural epoxy system specially formulated for a wide range of temperature application. Besides room temperature it can also be used to impregnate at both lower and higher temperature, for example from 10 ^oC/ 50 ^oF to 40 ^oC/ 104 ^oF. The cured components can be handled or used without postcure, but in order to achieve the outstanding mechanical properties a heat treatment at higher temperature is necessary.

After room temperature curing, the components are not brittle, thus can be demolded or handled for further processing. Besides, R300/H336 system exhibits low shrinkage, that also makes heat treating out of the mold possible. This way it can be used with non heat resistant molds and prototypes. A higher temperature resistance is possible to be achieved later, with subsequent postcuring cycles. It also exhibits good adhesion properties, low surface pollution and a high gloss finish, even at unfavorable working conditions. Its low viscosity makes fast wetout of the reinforcement possible. After the first impregnation stage, the system develops thixotropy, making application on vertical surfaces much easier.

Physical properties of H336 hardener:
Viscosity (m.Pas) at 25 ^oC/ 77 ^oF: 50-100
Density (g/cm³) at 25 ^oC/ 77 ^oF: 0.94-0.97

Mix properties of R300 / H336 system:
Weight ratio: 100 / 40 g
Volume ratio: 100 / 50 ml

Reactivity of R300 / H336 system:
Pot life on 500 g mix at 20-25 ^oC/ 68-77 ^oF: 2-3 h
