Water clear casting epoxy system SR Green Cast 160 / SD7160 Each kilo includes 0.70 kg resin + 0.30 kg hardener Water clear, low odor epoxy system, designed for decorative parts and jewelry prototyping, where a high transparency finish is required.   SR Green Cast 160 epoxy resin is manufactured with a bio-based carbon content of about 37%. SR Green Cast 160 / SD7160 system: The SR Green Cast 160 / SD7160 system exhibits very slow reactivity that allows casting of thick sections in one operation, without a change in color. With almost no odor during application, it hardens at room temperature, but in order to get the full mechanical properties (excellent resistance to thermal and physical shocks,) a post-cure from 40 to 80 oC is advised. Curing time: Curing time depends on the quantity of mix for casting, geometry of the part, thermal conductivity of mould and ambient temperature. SR Green Cast 160 / SD7160 system is very slow on small castings. To reduce cycle time, we advise to try several levels of temperature during the cure, in order to control the exothermic temperature in the part. Advised post cure cycle: Let cure at ambient temperature. Then increase the thermal properties of the system by a post-cure of 24 hours 40 oC or 8 hours at 40 oC + 12 hours at 60 oC.   SR8500 / KTA311 epoxy system for cold (or hot) preimpregnation Each kilo includes 0.83 kg resin + 0.17 kg hardener SR8500 / KTA311 is a 2 component, slow reactivity, solvent and reactive diluent free matrix system, designed for manual, (hand,) in-house fabric preimpregnation. Before mixing, the 2 components have a storage life of at least 1 year. After mixing and impregnation, the resulting preimpregnated fabric develops the desired tack at room temperature, and may be placed in a freezer. The out (of the freezer) life of this prepreg is at least 1 month. Consequently, this system is a versatile, cost effective solution that helps small production facilities to reduce their stock, and avoid keeping large quantities of various kinds of prepregs in the freezer. Curing temperature range is from 80 to 150 oC. Applications: Fabric preimpregnation by hand or machine, filament winding and adhesives. Particularly useful also for very large parts and hot press moulding.   Flexible epoxy system SR8160 / SD815B2 with medium hardener Each kilo includes 0.84 kg resin + 0.16 kg hardener SR8160 / SD815B2 is a system designed for laminating parts that exhibit shock and impact resistance, like the underbody of off road car racing. It may be used alone or as an additive to modify other epoxy systems. Also, it may be used to impregnate the outer layer(s) of laminates (so to take first contact of impacts,) and to achieve anisotropic behavior (in terms of thickness) of a part. In this case special care should be taken so to prevent delamination by making a gradual transition from elastic to rigid matrix. This gradual transition can be achieved by using 2 or 3 progressively lower content ratios (on subsequent fabric layers) of 8160 system, so to go from pure elastic to more rigid epoxy gradually. A very high ambient temperature is needed for pure 8160 flexible system to start the hardening reaction. Description: - 80 to 110 % of elongation at break in tension - Shock resistance over 150 KJ / m2 - Unfilled and translucent - Advantages compared to polyurethane: Does not foam when in contact with humidity Memory of shape Applications: - Parts under vibrations, shocks, low temperature - Flexible laminates: Body parts for cars, motorbike, 4X4 etc - Casting and inclusion (degassing under vacuum) - Part design / prototyping Minimum curing cycle: 24 hours at ambient temperature + 6 hours at 40 oC + 10 hours at 60 oC PROPERTIES Physical properties of SR8160 epoxy resin: Aspect / colour: Yellowish viscous liquid Viscosity at 20 oC (mPa.s + 20%): 7800 Density at 20 oC: 1.144 Physical properties of SD815B2 hardener: Aspect / colour: Clear liquid Viscosity at 20 oC (mPa.s+- 20 %): 15 Density at 20 oC (kg / l): 0.97 Mix properties of SR8160 / SD815B2 system: Mix viscosities at 20 oC (m.Pas +- 20 %): 2100 Weight ratio: 100 / 18 g Volume ratio: 100 / 21 ml   Intrastat Number for this product: Epoxy: 39073000, Hardener: 29213091..

High temperature epoxy system SR1710 / SD7820 Each kilo includes 0.73 kg resin + 0.27 kg hardener High temperature epoxy system specially formulated for oven temperature or autoclave conditions curing. It is used for production of high performance and high temperature resistant parts with outstanding mechanical properties in sectors such as motorsport, aerospace, and many more. It is also used for manufacturing of temperature resistant molds. It has low viscosity allowing fast wetting of reinforcements, and exhibits excellent adhesion properties to all types of fibers. It is very handy for most demanding applications, with a very long working time (~ 8 hours at 20° C). It can also be used to step up production to higher temperature resistance, as it can be demolded after a relatively low temperature postcuring. Heat treating to resist higher temperatures may very well come as a second step or at a later time. For this reason this system is very useful when we have to work with plugs or molds that do not resist high temperatures. The initial minimum curing before demolding is 12 hrs at 40° C or 6 hrs at 60° C.   1.00 kg set (0.76 kg resin + 0.24 kg hardener) A system of 2 liquid components that when mixed, expands into cellular foam. After cure, it becomes very tough, and exhibits high performance, unique characteristics not possible to obtain by other expanding or liquid foams like polyurethane, polystyrene etc. The PB170 / DM03 cellular foam production system expands and hardens to a final density of 170 kg / m3. The DM03 is the faster hardener. Product description The foaming products are 2 component systems (resin + hardener) developed for "in situ" low density foam production. They can be used to fill mold cavities, and avoid the use of low density fillers and/or the cost of machining of other readily expanded foams like PVC. They come white, but can be colored by adding any epoxy compatible pigment. The final density of the foam is a result of the choice of the resin. The PB170 resin provides approximately 170 kg/m3 foam. The hardener (in this case the DM03) influences only the curing time and not the potential thickness or final density of each shot (or layer) in the cast part.   The process can be separated in 2 steps: step 1: The mixed resin+hardener expand rapidly into foam step 2: The foam hardens slowly Key features: "In situ" and "in mold" manufacturing of low density foam core helps to avoid the use of low density fillers or CNC machining of expanded foams. Good adhesion onto all type of materials like prepregs and wet/dry epoxy, polyester and vinylester systems. Homogeneous density, floating volume, and very low water absorption. Can be used to increase the density of other cores and honeycomb. Foam blocks can be machined to produce models and prototypes.   1.00 kg set (0.74 kg resin + 0.26 kg hardener) A system of 2 liquid components that when mixed, expands into cellular foam. After cure, it becomes very tough, and exhibits high performance, unique characteristics not possible to obtain by other expanding or liquid foams like polyurethane, polystyrene etc. The PB250 / DM02 cellular foam production system expands and hardens to a final density of 250 kg / m3. The DM02 is the slower hardener. The PB250 resin provides approximately 250 kg/m3 foam. The hardener (in this case the DM02) influences only the curing time and not the potential thickness or final density of each shot (or layer) in the cast part. SG715 / SD802 epoxy gel coat system Price: 31.97 EUR / 1.27 kg set (1.0 kg resin + 0.27 kg hardener)   The SG715 / SD802 is a two component epoxy gel coat that is very easy to spread with brush or roller, and hardens practically without shrinking at room temperature. It gives a hard surface with resistance to abrasion and is easy to polish. Its thixotropic but nevertheless supple consistency makes the resin/hardener mixture easy to apply without bubbles with a shorthaired brush in a layer thickness of 1-3 mm. The SG715 / SD802 system does not run down at edges, corners and vertical surfaces. Allow to gel before applying a second coat. To avoid the risk of delamination, lamination must begin with no delay as soon as the gel coat is no longer tacky. If needed, the system can be made thinner by mixing together with other epoxy systems or epoxy solvent.   PROPERTIES Color: white and black Thermal stability: Tg1 = 90 oC / 194 oF after 24 hours at ambient temperature + 8 hours at 60 oC / 140 oF Mixing ratio: 27 hardener to 100 p.b.w. resin Pot life of 150 g at 20 oC / 68 oF: 17 minutes Curing time: 6 hours Application and curing temp: 18-30 oC / 64.4-86 oF, humidity < 80%   Intrastat Number for this product: Epoxy: 39073000, Hardener: 38249098..
